The Michelin Pilot Super Sport that has been developed in conjunction with teams from Porsche, BMW and Ferrari.
To deliver a stable and reliable performance, Michelin have constructed the tyre with a Twaron® belt – this produces variable grip levels to distribute the forces of tension and grip evenly throughout the surface of the tyre.
Michelin have designed the Pilot Super Sport with a unique dual compound technology that utilises the characteristics of different rubber compounds between the inner and outer sections of the tread. The outside of the tyre features a carbon black reinforced compound derived from Michelin’s experiences at Le Mans 24, whilst the inside of the tyre uses a compound combination of the latest generation in elastomers to deliver exceptional wet grip.
The Michelin Pilot Super Sport has been designed to provide motorists with high performance and safety in even the most demanding conditions. The tyre delivers exceptionally well in dry weather, with responsive handling and strong levels of traction.
